Two research institutes – ENSAM in France and Forintek Canada Corp in Canada – are joining forces to hold symposiums for the veneer industry.

Aimed at the trade and other researchers, the events will be held every two years, alternately in France and Canada.

The organisers say the goal is to create a “veneer community” to improve the dissemination of scientific and technical information and the co-ordination of R&D activities.

The first symposium is due to take place on May 6-7 at the Auditorium of Galerie Européenne de la Forêt et du Bois.
