International Timber has bolstered its product range with its decision to distribute glulam.

The glulam will be available in GL28c and h grades as standard, in thicknesses ranging from 44-140mm.

Commenting on the new addition, Steve Rogers, product and market director at International Timber, said: “Traditionally, glulam has been supplied to large-scale commercial projects including timber frame buildings, but its strength, sustainability, safety and aesthetic appeal mean it is becoming a popular choice with architects, designers and craftsmen looking for a versatile engineered timber product.”

“As well as commercial and public sector applications, including schools, hospitals, leisure complexes and supermarkets,” said Mr Rogers, “glulam is also well suited to design-led projects such as churches: it can be shaped to create a unique, curved timber structures.”

Part of Saint-Gobain Building Distribution’s Timber Group, International Timber says it can provide a tailor-made quotation service to meet bespoke requirements.
