The company has reported that Australasian bookings were “flooding in” thanks to the launch of Blackdown Australia, which is supplying huts for Australian B&Bs, hotel chains, mining operations, healing retreats and vineyards.

Export business growth has also been achieved in Scandinavia, Portugal, Ireland and the Channel Islands. And 2014 orders and enquiries have included customers in the US, Canada, France and Spain.

Blackdown co-founders William Vickery and George Bannister are now in talks to enter two new international markets.

As well as an oak chassis, the huts also feature idigbo hardwood joinery, oak flooring and exterior cladding and redwood interior cladding.
