Interfor has achieved Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) certification on 700,000ha of forest in southeast British Columbia.
The latest certification in Grand Forks and Castlegar Woods means all of the company’s forests in the province are SFI-certified.
In the spring Interfor also certified both its mills in the areas to both SFI and PEFC chain of custody certification.
Interfor operates nine sawmills across Canada and the US.
