The new owner of Interbuild, Emap Construct, is undertaking a major overhaul of the event, which attracted almost 45,000 trade visitors in April this year.

Emap Construct said Interbuild needed to constantly evolve to keep pace with an innovative industry and extensive market research among exhibitors and visitors to this year’s event is helping develop the 2006 programme.

In 2006 there will be just three main areas – interiors and services; structural and external; truck and tool.

Emap marketing director Ross Sturley explained that this had been undertaken to restore the show’s focus. “We felt – with something like 14 mini shows under one roof – Interbuild had become too diffused.”
