The Institute of Carpenters (IoC) has launched two new corporate membership schemes to allow companies to become members of the organisation.

Corporate membership is now available to companies working directly with timber, while corporate associate membership is open to those supplying tools, machinery, treatments, glazing and other products to the woodworking market.

“The introduction of two new schemes reflects the demand we have experienced and the close association that suppliers and woodworking companies enjoy,” said IoC director Duncan King.

“The historic craft of building and working with timber has never been a more relevant and sustainable solution as it is today and the introduction of the corporate associate membership supports our ongoing campaigning for standards of excellence as well as acknowledges superior workmanship and professionalism throughout the entire supply chain.”

IoC also recently launched a Find a Professional tool on its website as part of its service offering to help designers and specifiers find the right craftsman.
