The complex is at the Parkhouse Interchange in a better and more prominent location for access and service from the A34, the company said.

It is also the first of its 12 regional sites to feature a new showroom ahead of a national roll-out that showcases the company’s portfolio and complementary timber and tools.

IDS said it invested £3.5m at the site which includes a larger and newly racked 45,000ft2 warehouse, which holds 1,700 items for ex-stock delivery, an increase of 30%.

The site also has a 10,000ft2 office building and a 15,000ft2 factory to produce the company’s Showerwall bathroom panelling.

The site is low carbon with PV solar panels, drainage inceptor systems and sun reflective glass. IDS managing director John Bagshaw said:

“This IDS development celebrates 15 years of business and relocation of our Stoke branch is another important milestone in our development.”
