Trussed Rafter Association (TRA) member H&S Timber Systems has supplied 25 truss profiles and more than 300 trusses for a new office building at Wyvern Business Park, Derby.
Developers were confident trussed rafters could provide a cost-effective solution as H&S Timber Systems had already designed and supplied trusses for another office building at the business park.
The trussed rafters installed on the 35,000ft2 L-shaped three storey building eliminated the need for steel in the roof structure and shortened the building programme. Trusses were constructed in three parts and spanned 15.9m between wall plates.
