Howarth Timber Building & Supplies has joined the Ethical Partnership programme, a move which will see it sell ethically sourced stone through its UK network.

All natural stone paving stocked by Howarth Timber branches will now be sourced through ethical routes in the Stonemarket Ethical Partnership scheme, enabling the company to further its drive to sell environmentally-sound products, according to Howarth Timber Group product manager Alan Smith.

“We are delighted to become a Stonemarket ethical partner,” said Mr Smith.

“As people are becoming more aware of the origin of the products they are choosing, we feel it is important to help our customers understand how they can choose more ethically sourced building materials.”

Howarth Timber said stocking ethically sourced natural stone meant its customers could be certain there had been no abuse of human rights during production.
