The iroko was supplied to the hospital in the north-west of England by Howarth Timber and Building Supplies, while Oldham-based landscape contractor PR England and Sons Ltd installed the material.
A series of iroko monoliths were specified to frame flower beds and seating areas. PR England director Richard England said iroko’s durability minimised health and safety risk and reduced maintenance cycles.
