Leicester-based Littlethorpe has said that the increase is due to timber’s environmental credentials and “not least because wood is unrivalled in its versatility and aesthetic appeal”.
“Wood plays an important role as the world’s only renewable and sustainable building material,” said managing director Andy Robinson.
Littlethorpe said its shelters were manufactured using only Forest Stewardship Council-certified timber and use construction techniques employed in Tudor timber framed homes.
