Tasmanian timber company Gunns plans to sell its woodchip export stockpile facility at the port in Burnie.
A company spokesperson said Gunns hoped to offload its long-term lease on the TasPorts-owned site along with its shiploading and stockpiling equipment.
She would not say whether any buyers had expressed interest in the site.
The decision is part of a move by Gunns to sell all its non-core assets and keep plantation timber for its proposed Bell Bay pulp mill.
The spokesperson said all non-core assets were on the market.
Gunns hopes to pay off about A$340m of debt through asset sales and a A$400m capital raising.
It has also begun the sale process for its port of Portland stockpile in Victoria.
