The manufacturing process of Accoya is to be showcased on Grand Designs’ Trade Secrets on February 13.
The television programme will look at production of the modified wood product and its use in eight timber frame workshops at the Woodland Enterprise Centre in Flimwell, East Sussex.
Coverage on Grand Designs’ Trade Secrets, a spin-off from popular Channel 4 show Grand Designs which broadcasts on digital channel More4, will “widen the knowledge” of Accoya, according to BSW Timber’s head of business development John Alexander.
“Grand Designs’ Trade Secrets offers viewers the opportunity to get deep under the skin of innovative products so it is entirely fitting that Accoya is to feature on the show,” said Mr Alexander.
“The market development and joinery manufacturers’ reaction has been very positive and the Grand Designs show will widen the knowledge of this revolutionary modified wood.”
