Graduates from the Republic of Ireland have gained the highest set of marks yet recorded on the SCA Product Knowledge course.

Four candidates gained distinction, three credits and two passes. Top marks went to Alan Fannin of timber frame housing producer Century Homes who scored 96%. All will now receive Institute of Wood Science Timber Studies awards.

The next SCA exam group travels to Sweden on April 13-16. This summer’s course, currently running at builders’ merchants BCL in Stoke on Trent will visit Sweden for their exam in early July.
