Goodwins Timber Frame has completed a multi-million euro extension at its factory in Tullow, Ireland in order to enhance the production of the Ecojoist flooring solution.

The move to expand its production facilities comes as interest grows in timber components throughout the construction of houses and apartments, it said, with developers increasingly turning to timber.

This includes Gang-Nail Systems’ Ecojoist flooring system, which represents almost all the flooring produced by Goodwins.

“The factory extension has allowed us to move the Ecojoist press into the correct position within the floor cassette line,” said Brendan Osborne from Goodwins.

“This is an imperative part of ensuring the efficient production of Ecojoist, which now represents in excess of 99% of all the floors we produce for our customers.”

Gang-Nail Systems added that the popularity of its Ecojoist system was systematic of the growing popularity of timber frame.
