Global trade fair organiser Messe Frankfurt recorded group pre-tax profits of E40.2m in 2001, its second best year ever.
The group, responsible for 85 exhibitions worldwide, had revenues of E318m, slightly up on last year.
In 2001, 36,089 exhibitors and 2.2 million visitors attended the 38 fairs and public events in Frankfurt. A total of 23,375 exhibitors took part in the 14 events organised by Messe Frankfurt, 3.5% up on the appropriate preceding events.
