The Biennale is the most important event on the international contemporary architecture calendar and is held in locations around Venice.
National participants from 41 countries are showcasing their work at this year’s exhibition.
Irish architectural firm O’Donnell and Tuomey, have submitted "Vessel" as their entry using home grown timber supplied by Glennon Brothers.
"Vessel" is a site specific response to the exhibition theme of "Common Ground", and the Vessel celebrates Irish craft, material and tradition.
For Glennon Brothers the Biennale provided an ideal opportunity to display its homegrown timber to an international audience.
The project was also supported by the Wood Marketing Federation, Coillte, Coford and Gem Construction.
