Ireland and UK timber processing firm Glennon Brothers recently honoured three long-standing employees with a combined service of more than 100 years.
Guest of honour on the night was Bernard (Barney) Kenny who recently retired from after 43 years with the company, the vast majority of which was spent on the road. Also honoured on the night were log purchasing manager Gerry Dolan and Longford mill manager Brendan Farrell who each have 30 years’ service.
Speaking on the night, joint managing director Pat Glennon paid tribute to Mr Kenny, praising his commitment, diligence, and loyalty, and acknowledging his contribution as a first-class ambassador for Glennon Brothers.
Mr Glennon also acknowledged the fantastic loyalty and commitment to Glennon Brothers demonstrated by both Brendan Farrell and Gerry Dolan, and said he looked forward to working with both for many years to come.
Joint managing director Mike Glennon acknowledged “the legacy of great contributions from people who were no longer with us and who had dedicated their working lives to Glennon Brothers. Without these contributions, Glennon Brothers would not have survived the many challenges it has faced over its 98 years”.
