The German furniture market is booming with a turnover growth of 7.3% in the first half-year.

The health of the sector is being flagged up by organisers of next year’s ZOW Bad Salzuflen exhibition as a reason for suppliers to book their stands.

Organisers said the sector is expected to grow about 5% for the whole year.

Due to high exhibitor demand, an extra hall will be open for the February 6-9 fair.

Organisers say February is the prime order season for the German furniture industry.

On February 9 a timber coating day will be held and the focus will revolve around furniture surfaces.
