The site, which was once a roof truss manufacturing site for John Carr, has a 14,000ft² open plan manufacturing space and 8,000ft² outside storage area.
GTE has already built a new two-storey timber frame office on the premises.
“We have spent about £30,000 on the new offices which are 15x6m,” said Simon Baldwin, sales director.
The company has spent a further £25,000 personalising the factory to its own requirements. This has included steel works, floor levelling and racking.
GTE has turned over £2.7m of business since its start up three years ago and projected turnover for the current financial year is in excess of £1m.
“We’re really thrilled with the new site at Bristol Road. Its open plan layout makes manufacturing far easier, and being more central is a real plus point”, said Mr Baldwin.
GTE is a stockist of iLevel Trus Joists whose elephant mascot made an appearance to celebrate the move.
