The Freight Transport Association is expecting an “explosion of interest” from freight operators in the newly-announced Company Neutral Revenue Support (CNRS) Scheme.
The Strategic Rail Authority’s £22m CNRS programme is designed to grow intermodal and maritime container rail freight. It is expected to be extended to the bulk sector, which could boost timber transport, within the next two to three years.
