Timber frame supplier Frame Wise Ltd has branched out into the engineered wood products (EWP) market by becoming an authorised distributor of Boise EWP’s Simple Framing System range.
The link-up will see Frame Wise offering traditional builders a complete EWP solution, including floor joists, laminated veneer lumber and framing timber, as part of its mission to convert the construction trade to timber frame.
Boise EWP’s UK base will offer sales support, research and development and technical knowledge.
“Timber frame technology is growing in popularity; it is currently holding 21% of the market,” said Simon Orrells, Frame Wise managing director.
“I am very excited about the launch of our EWP department and our expansion into this area.”
Mr Orrells added that the deal is a “big step forward” for Frame Wise, which is “always looking to push the boundaries in terms of new opportunities”.
