Nominations are open for the inaugural Ian Forshaw Memorial Medal.
The medal will be bestowed on the person, group or business that has shown dedication to furthering the reputation of Wales’ woodlands, forest industry or timber sector, as well as demonstrating entrepreneurship and innovation.
The award was set up as a lasting legacy to former Forestry Commission Wales director Ian Forshaw, who died suddenly in September last year.
“Ian encouraged and supported excellence and innovation in forestry throughout his career,” said Forestry Commission Wales director Trefor Owen.
“This new award celebrates those that have gone the extra mile in the way Welsh Woodlands and forest products make a difference to people’s lives.”
The deadline for entries for the award is June 30.
