Forestry exhibition Forexpo 2002 attracted contingents from North America and eastern Europe for the first time.
Among the 385 exhibitors at Bordeaux-Technopole (Gironde) fom June 5-7 were 60 foreign representatives from 15 different countries.
The 31,254 visitors had the opportunity to meet exhibitors including foresters from Hungary, contractors from Peru, academics from Japan and sellers of safety equipment from Québec.
Spain remains the number one country among the foreign exhibitors, while the reinforced presence of manufacturers from northern Europe confirmed their interest in the southern European forestry market.
