A series of political debates based on the Forestry and Timber Association’s (F&TA) discussion paper “A Level Playing Field for Forestry” are to be held around the country.
The first takes place at the Metropole Hotel, Llandrindod Wells on October 31, the second at the Quality Station Hotel, Perth on November 28 and the third at the RICS, 12 Great George St, London on December 2. A further event will take place in Northern Ireland
The discussion paper lists four areas where the F&TA says there is a serious imbalance – forestry and agriculture, forestry and society, state forestry and the private sector and primary production and recycling.
The F&TA says everyone with a forestry interest is invited to the debates .
