MeadWestvaco Corp of Connecticut has sold 629,000 acres of forestland in Maine and New Hampshire to Wagner Forest Management Ltd for more than US$125m.
MeadWestvaco intends to reduce its landholdings from 3.2 million acres to 1.8 million acres and has so far sold 886,000 acres for around US$367m.
