Timber garden product manufacturer Forest Garden plc is to expand capacity at its Eardisley and Lockerbie plants, making them into “Supersites” focused on the production of the company’s Larchlap brand.

Forest Garden will also consolidate its two Hartlebury sites into a single production plant. The manufacturing and distribution operation at Shobdon will then transfer to Hartlebury, which becomes the company’s dedicated site for the Forest timber brand sold mainly through independents.

Jonathan Halford, Forest Garden’s chief operating officer, said the investment at Lockerbie and Eardisley is aimed at improving the delivery service of the Larchlap brand to multiples and supporting plans for growth.

He said the transfer of all Forest manufacturing and despatch operations to the head office in Hartlebury will support the company’s Forest brand growth strategy, improve production capability and integrate the focus of operational teams.
