The National Flooring Show is ending its 17-year stint at Harrogate and will take place at Birmingham NEC next year.

Organiser CMP Information announced the change during this year’s event on September 8-10, which saw exhibitor numbers slightly down on 2008.

Event director Andrew Vaughan said he was confident the NEC would be the right place “to do real business”.

“The venue is the natural progression for the National Floor Show, as it allows us to implement product categorisation, as well as new and extended feature areas, which have proved very popular at this year’s event.”

Companies exhibiting in the wood flooring sector included Kentwood Floors, Osmo UK, Barham Wood Floors and WF Taylor (wood flooring adhesive).
