Aberdeen-based merchant John Fleming Co Ltd is to open a branch in Thurso next month.
The outlet will cater for a local customer base previously served by the company’s Inverness branch.
Initially the branch will employ three full-time and one part-time members of staff. Its main products will be timber, sheet materials and joinery products. There will also be a tool hire facility.
The depot – the company’s eighth – will give John Fleming coverage from the Scottish Islands down to the north-east.
