A large quantity of timber at importer/merchant Percy Hudson Ltd has been destroyed in a major chemical fire in North Shields.
The fire at chemicals recycler Distillex last Friday sent barrels of highly toxic chemicals into the air, totally destroying Percy Hudson Ltd’s adjacent site and severely damaging its other premises nearby.
