A fire has destroyed the joinery manufacturing building of RN Wooler and Co Ltd, with thousands of pounds-worth of timber lost in the blaze.

The fire broke out in the building, which forms part of RN Wooler’s facility in Keighley, Bradford, on Friday at 4am, and although around 60 firefighters attended the incident, the building was destroyed.

Norman Wooler, the owner of the building and civil engineering contractor, said that the cause of the fire was not yet known and that the loss of the building would be a blow to the company.

However, Andrew Wooler, RN Wooler director, added that the company will be carrying on and is looking for a temporary site to house its joinery operations.

“We are a fluid company who can adapt to such situations – we are busy securing an alternative site as we speak,” said Mr Wooler Jr.
