A warehouse at a former timber yard in Tipton has been destroyed in a major fire.
The former Round’s Wood Yard, which was vacated earlier this year and all machinery sold off, was gutted by fire but firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to adjacent wooden packaging manufacturer Smith Bros (Quinton) Ltd.
Fire crews said the wind direction and close proximity of a canal helped them stop the spread of flames.
