Finnforest has restructured its organisation as part of a drive to achieve market leadership in the European mechanical wood processing sector.

The company now has two industrial divisions, engineered wood and solid wood, instead of the previous four – plywood, solid wood, engineered wood and resale.

The plywood and Kerto LVL operations are being merged to form part of the engineered wood division, while wholesale has been integrated into the company’s country organisations.

Finnforest’s country network of 20 organisations has been restructured into four groups catering for the industrial, resale and consumer solutions, and building systems areas.

Country Organisations West comprises the UK, Germany, France, western Europe, Poland, Turkey and North America. Country Organisations East includes Austria, eastern Europe and Asia; the Scandinavian market area comprises Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland; and the fourth group is the Finnish market.
