Finnforest has promoted Darren Pack to head of merchant sales.
Mr Pack has been in the timber industry since joining as a management trainee in 1990. His experience spans all aspects of the business, from transportation, mill operations, tool setting, shipping, yard management and sales. Latterly he has provided regional and national sales support for Finnforest customers.
“There will be challenges going forward as the current market continues to present obstacles,” said Mr Pack. “Primarily for our merchant customers the concern is for availability and consistency of products.
“By working closely with our customers we are aiming to realise efficiencies and opportunities for streamlining supply models to help maintain the competitive edge.”
