Finnforest’s fire door linings and casings have been approved by the BWF-Certifire Fire Door & Doorset Scheme, giving consumers the “utmost confidence in them”.
The scheme, run by the British Woodworking Federation, has guaranteed the components to a 30-minute fire standard when used in conjunction with other BWF-Certifire products.
“Our ultimate aim is to provide everyone from the contractor that fits Finnforest’s products through Building Control, to the consumer that uses them, with the utmost confidence in them,” said Finnforest’s product development manager Paul Maw.
“The Certifire label attached to each of our frames gives an assurance that when used in conjunction with a BWF-Certifire-approved door and other approved components, the minimum 30-minute fire performance can be guaranteed.”
Finnforest added its range of lining and casings are also manufactured with a groove to house a 4x15mm intumescent strip to further enhance the products’ fire preventative qualities.
