Finnforest has shaken up the UK market for engineered wood products by acquiring the iLevel European engineered wood products business from Weyerhaeuser.
The move sees Finnforest take over one of its biggest competitors in the UK.
The acquisition includes iLevel sales, technical support and a well established customer base in the UK, France and Germany.
Finnforest said bringing together both brands would drive forward product development and market standardisation which would benefit housebuilders.
The iLevel range, (previously branded Trus Joist) produced in the US will, “over a period of time” be phased out of the UK and European markets and replaced by Finnforest engineered wood products.
