Organisers of Spain’s leading woodworking technology show Fimma-MADERALIA say this year’s event was a “giant step forward”.

The November 7-10 exhibition in Valencia saw executives from large companies and representatives from new distribution channels “respond well to the product offer on show”.

Official visitor figures have not been released yet but organisers said “thousands” of trade buyers and 1,329 exhibitors attended, including Weinig, Homag, SCM, Biesse and Biele. Around 500 foreign visitors were recorded, mainly from eastern Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.

The show featured more than 30 conferences and seminars, 10 live demo areas and carpentry and furniture design competitions.

The MADERALIA part of the show, which feature suppliers in the furniture and wood industry, saw “large numbers” of architects, interior designers and decorators.
