Innovation awards will feature at FIMMA Brasil 2005 to help turn the country into a reference centre for technology, qualifications and innovation in the wood and furniture production chains.
National and international awards will be given in four categories: machines, raw materials, tools and accessories. Products entered must be on show at the March 15-19 exhibition and have been on the market for a year.
The awards are being promoted by FIMMA Brasil and the government of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, through Móveis and the Furniture Industry Association of Rio Grande do Sul.
