The last show, in October 2005, reported attendance at around 1,500 people. This year the organisers say they are expecting up to 5,000, including fencing contractors, timber and builders merchants, local authority representatives and other specifiers.

Exhibitors at the event at Newbury racecourse from April 18-19 will include fencing manufacturers, machinery producers and other suppliers to the industry, including timber treatment specialists.

Industry-related seminars will run throughout the event and it will also host the UK Fencing Championships, a biennial competition sponsored by McVeigh Parker & Co Ltd.

Following this year’s show, Fencing and Landscaping News says it plans to hold the event biennially at different locations around the country.
