Forest Garden said unprecedented demand following the storms at the turn of the year resulted in it doubling output at its Sennybridge site in Wales.

It has also increased timber treatment capacity with additional pressure treatment plant at the Lockerbie and M&M Timber sites.

An additional kiln is operational at M&M and a Hedgehog incisor will be commissioned in the new year to boost production of its Agricised fence posts.

“These investments are very timely in that we can immediately ramp up production levels to increase our stockholding of sawn timber material and finished products well in advance of any possible adverse winter weather,” said Forest Garden sales and marketing director John Gomersall.
