James Jones & Sons has achieved ISO 9001:2008 accreditation a year ahead of schedule.
The Stirlingshire company, which already operates an ISO 9001: 2000 Quality system, said it is one of the first companies to complete the upgrade to the 2008 standard.
The new standard introduces changes to make it more compatible with the environmental management standard ISO 14001:2004.
Brian Robertson, general manager of the Timber Systems Division, said: “We are already accredited to ISO 14001:2004 and are looking forward to integrating the management of these two systems.”
