Organisers emap said that even before this year’s show had ended, virtually all the exhibitors in the Timber Zone had applied for space in 2007.

“Although we attend several trade shows across Europe, this was our first visit to Interbuild and it has been the best exhibition for business,” said Mike Rowlands of Mick Jones Timber. “Being placed in the Timber Zone definitely benefited us.”

Of the 44,436 visitors who attended Interbuild, 11,462 were interested in timber-related products according to ABC-audited audience figures for the 2006 show.

TRADA, which was heavily involved in the event, will take a lead role in supporting and promoting the next Interbuild Timber Zone.

The seminar programme organised by TRADA attracted more than 600 visitors over the five days and TRADA group marketing manager Rupert Scott said the format will be repeated, but with a bigger seminar theatre.

TRADA will also lead guided tours around the Timber Zone at next year’s event on October 28-November 1 at the NEC Birmingham.

Limited stand space is still available in the Timber Zone 2007. To book e-mail lorettasales@tiscali.co.uk.
