A key part of CNC Components‘ display exhibited at ZOW in February has been stolen.

The Northern Ireland-based manufacturer discovered the theft of a chest of drawers illustrating a number of its vinyl finishes and door furniture when it unpacked a packaging crate at its premises on February 26. The crate had been packed at ZOW on Friday February 13.

CNC sales and marketing director Warnock Watson said: “The chest weighs 250kg so there’s no doubt that the thief had his own transport. It would have taken at least half an hour to undo all the screws and do them all back up again.

“It’s flattering in a way to have your new designs stolen, but it’s also extrtemely irritating as we’ll have to make a replacement.”

Mr Watson said that most of what was stolen is patented and added: ” The first person I see with a copy will find me waiting for them in court.”
