Dr Tuula Nuutinen has been appointed head of research for forest resources and information at the European Forest Institute.
Dr Nuutinen holds a PhD from the Department of Geography at the University of Edinburgh, and was most recently involved in forest resource information systems at the Finnish Forest Research Institute.
