The European Federation of the Plywood Industry (FEIC) is introducing an information campaign to target end consumers at a European level.

FEIC members undetook a first initiative in 2004 supported by the European Commission, but the latest push will be more widespread and will also urge public authorities to continue “necessary market surveillance” to ensure plywood products are fit for purpose when used in the construction sector.

The campaign will highlight the various uses of plywood, from private and public constructions to internal fittings, boat building and vehicle building, as well as the quality and environmental credentials of European products.

FEIC unites 75 plywood companies producing four million m3 annually in 20 different countries.
