The organisers of the Xylexpo and Sasmil shows say the introduction of the euro has generated confidence among companies exhibiting at the events in Italy in May.
The biennial woodworking and furniture technologies, accessories and semi-finished products exhibitions will be held at the Milan fairgrounds on May 21-25.
The organisers say feedback from exhibitors is positive following the introduction of the new currency and they maintain that their comments are early indicators of a market upswing in Europe.
