FIRA International Ltd is to run a series of courses on health and safety, environmental issues and implementing a chain of custody for wood products.
The courses, at FIRA’s Stevenage headquarters, will kick off on June 9 with a focus on manual handling, followed by a two-day course on July 6-7 aimed at training managers on manual handling risk legislation, assessment and safe lifting techniques – leading to a Chartered Institute of Environmental Health certification.
Other sessions include a look at control of hazardous substances on June 9, a one-day general course on health and safety in the workplace on June 16 and environmental awareness on June 22.
Forest certification and chain of custody for wood products will feature on June 21 and is aimed at raw material suppliers, manufacturers and specifiers.
