Recognition of the need for help with employment issues, particularly health and safety, has prompted Leeds-based Antique Style Pine Doors to join the British Woodworking Federation (BWF).

The company specialises in hand-made Victorian-style doors with a stained and waxed finish. Glazed or solid, the doors are available nationally through more than 150 retail pine shops, or direct to the trade from the compay’s new premises at Birstall.

Company secretary Sallie Sandom said several organisations were investigated before a choice was made. She added: “The BWF struck us as being the most professional and the most proactive. It has the knowledge and resources that I can see being invaluable to us as we continue to grow, especially since the introduction of a fire door to our range.”
