As well as furthering its operations in the UK, the investment in ELM will help Scott improve its trade in European countries including Spain, France, Germany and Italy.

“This acquisition is another step toward expanding the Scott Timber Group’s activities in Europe and makes us unique,” said managing director John Scott.

“No other company is able to offer a one-stop shop for all the customers’ pallet requirements including design and maintenance.”

ELM currently has a turnover of £3m and employs 25 staff but Scott predicts this to grow following the investment.
