Building systems provider Eleco plc increased its pre-tax profits by 52% during 2002 to £870,000.

The company, which incorporates roof and truss systems supplier Gang-Nail Systems, recorded a turnover of £18.17m, up from £14.21m in 2001. Gang-Nail produced an “excellent performance” in the first six months, while its roof and truss software is now being used by an increasing proportion of customers.

The Gang-Nail engineered flooring product, Ecojoist, continues to make progress in the market with record sales achieved in 2002.

Eleco Software Systems incurred a loss of £160,000 but the recent acquisition of Swedish company Consultec, which supplies stair production software, has added critical mass in the construction software market.
